Below are frequently asked questions regarding hardware and software support for the YourSixOS access control solution. Please note that, alongside YourSix’s support guidelines, we recommend that integrators test scenarios before applying them in real-world situations that impact end users.
Hardware Support
- What door controllers does YourSixOS support?

- Axis communications A1610 and A1601 running latest VAPIX based firmware (2 barrier controller)
- Axis communications A1210 running latest VAPIX based firmware (1 barrier controller)
- At this time, we do not support Axis communications A1001, A1710-B, A1810-B

- Which Axis firmware is required for the controllers?

- VAPIX. If the device is running Secure Entry track, it is a requirement to upgrade the device to the latest Secure Entry release and then roll back to the VAPIX track.

- What mobile credentials are supported by YourSixOS?

- We support: Native NFC on android & native Bluetooth on iOS
- At this time, we do not support wallet

- Is Wavelynx MyPass supported by YourSixOS?

- Yes

- Are biometric readers supported by YourSixOS?

- Not currently

- Are OSDP and Weigand readers supported by YourSixOS?

- Yes, we support Wiegand readers operating in 26- and 34-bit and OSDP V2 readers
- We recommend OSDP

- Which brand of readers does YourSixOS support?

- Any Weigand or OSDP readers however we recommend Wavelynx, Axis, or HID

- Are keypads for pin entry supported by YourSixOS?

- Are wireless controller (Aperio for example) deployments supported by YourSixOS?

- How are credentials added in YourSixOS?

- Utilizing Card number in hexadecimal format
- Options include
- Manually type card number
- Wavelynx MyPass which will work with your mobile device
- Use the platform to pull the card number from the last card scanned. This allows any reader attached to the system to act as an enrollment reader
