Cloud Communications

Security devices communicate with the Y6OS backend infrastructure using an encrypted tunnel. By utilizing this connection method, we do not require port-forwarding or inbound traffic rules on customer firewall equipment.  

If a security device does lose connectivity to the Y6OS cloud (usually the result of local ISP or last-mile connections), all video data is stored locally, if provisioned, on the SD card and/or NAS.  

YourSix follows industry best practices around data encryption for both data at rest and in transit.
