Notifications
An essential feature of any physical security platform is keeping users informed. The YourSixOS platform enables customers and integrators to be aware of security events, as well as health and tampering incidents. Users can set up notifications to send alerts via email and/or push notifications through the Y6OS application to designated team members.
There are two primary classifications for notifications: security events and health/tampering events, with various delivery options available.
- Health/Tampering based notifications keep you informed of critical events detected in the platform such as a device disconnecting from the platform or health issues related to storage.
-
- Device Disconnect/Connect: receive a notification when a device disconnects and re-connects to the platform.
- Storage Disruption: receive a notification when there is a disruption in storage such as a lost connection to the SD card.
- Tampering: receive a notification based on events such as tilt detection, shock detection, case opened, and video tampering.
-
- Security Event based notifications can be enabled within a set schedule to alert you when there is a security event detected by a device.
-
- Motion Detection: receive a notification when motion is detected.
- AI Object Detection: receive a notification when an object of interest is detected. These notifications are based of using AI analytics and depend on the device capabilities.
- Additional security related notifications: radar motion, audio detection, PIR, peripheral change.
-
Delivery Method of Notifications
- Push notifications from the Y6OS mobile application. Each individual user can elect push notification in their account settings.
- Email notifications can be created to send to an individual or distribution email address (organization emails).
- Webhooks allow for other applications to receive the notification.
Notifications for Video Monitoring
A key feature of the YourSixOS solution is its capacity for enabling professional monitoring. By partnering with a central station, customers can direct notifications to these monitoring centers, allowing them to review footage and verify legitimate events. When collaborating with a central station, YourSix recommends utilizing AOA as the primary analytic for detection and device groups as the main source for notifications.
