Health Monitoring

YourSix is committed to providing our partners and customers with valuable insights not only into security events but also into the health status of the solution and its supporting hardware, such as cameras, speakers, and controllers. To keep you fully informed about your solution, YourSix offers both proactive and reactive health monitoring. The goal of health monitoring is to:

    • Automated Alerts – Instant notifications for any system irregularities or failures.
    • Reduce Downtime – Quicker issue resolution, minimizing security risks.

Proactive Health Monitoring

Proactive health monitoring equips integrators with real-time insights into their security infrastructure, enabling smarter decision-making and improved operational efficiency. This allows you to detect potential issues before they lead to critical failures. Additional notes on Proactive Health Monitoring

Reactive Health Monitoring

Reactive health monitoring provides integrators with real-time notifications of critical events, such as device disconnections or storage failures. Awareness of these events allows integrators to respond promptly and minimize downtime.

Best Practices

Health-based notifications and security event-based notifications should be configured as two separate alerts within YourSixOS. This approach is recommended because schedules and device group alert states can impact the notifications. Typically, a health-based notification, like a device disconnect, operates on a schedule that’s always active, while an event-based notification, such as AOA, is linked to a schedule that may not always be on or is triggered by a device group alert state. In short, users generally want to be notified immediately when a device disconnects, but may prefer to receive notifications for AOA only at specific times.
