YourSix Leadership

The kind of team you can trust your business with.

You want to know the folks you entrust with your business’ security and intelligence. Not just the awards and recognitions they’ve earned as a brand, but the people themselves. Fortunately, we’re the kind of people that want to know you, too. Meet our leadership team and then connect with each of us to start a conversation.

Eric Styles

CEO

I want YourSix to be known for having the most powerful cloud-based physical security platform in the industry, being a great place to work, and delivering an experience our partners and customers would choose above any other.

Eric Styles is one of the Founders of YourSix and serves as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Eric leads the company’s strategy and coordination between Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors, while maintaining a keen awareness of the competitive landscape along with the company’s risks, opportunities, and alliances.

Eric’s technology career began in the US Army while serving six years on active duty, including two combat tours post-9/11. He was trained on various next-gen technologies for both peacetime and wartime and credits these experiences for his desire to both lead and serve.

Over the following decade, Eric was immersed in the world of business technology, advising organizations through multiple technology shifts from on-premises to cloud. This led to Eric’s journey as an entrepreneur when he started his own technology solutions provider agency in 2011. In 2015, Eric joined forces with Matt Goldman and Jacob Hengel to form YourSix with a clear vision for transforming an aging physical security industry.

Eric’s interests outside of YourSix are quite simple: family, travel, and sports. He and his wife of 20+ years have raised three daughters together. Over the last 16 years, Eric has been proud to coach his daughter’s soccer teams as part of the Minnesota youth soccer landscape. Born and raised in New York, Eric prides himself as a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan, but he’s even more passionate about US Soccer.

Jacob Hengel

CTO

I want YourSix to drive change in the industry by aligning next-generation cybersecurity hygiene with the power of cloud-native technology in an efficient platform that solves real-world business problems.

Jacob Hengel’s preparation for his role at the helm of YourSix technology began with the countless companies he assisted with Enterprise Network and Technology initiatives for more than a decade before helping found the company. During that time, he played multiple roles that prepared him for technology leadership, from serving as principal architect for cloud solutions to hands-on experience in sales and sales engineering, network security engineering, and project management.

Today, as YourSix’s Chief Technology Officer, Jacob develops the company’s growth strategy with a focus on delivering innovative technology to the world. He oversees the product portfolio and advises Executive Leadership on all aspects of technology decision-making.

When he’s not discovering technological innovations, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, whether they’re building projects or at their cabin by the lake, as well as volunteering for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
